Well. This really hasn't worked, has it.

BUT, I do know that I have to start with my craft stuff in the dining room.  So, I have signed up for a 'webinar' on the internet called "overwhelmed to organized" that hopefully will help me get my stamping/scrapping section put away.  I doesn't start for 2 weeks, but I have printed out the workbook & started on some of the items.  Fingers crossed that I keep it up!  I think the set up I have will work, if I just make use of what is there!  Wish me luck!

hmmm not going so good

I did accomplish one very odd thing today.  I was downsizing my CM $bag.  Needed to roll change....so cleaned off my headboard...emptied my rummy money containers as well.  I now only have 1 rummy money container (not 4) and the others are in the dishwasher to recycle.  Then, David & I made a messy supper, so have to redo the kitchen.  Will reload the dishwasher as soon as it is done.

Still working on my books for the accountant.   Maybe next year it will be easier....I have a file for this years stuff & have actually been putting things in it as I find them.  Here's hoping!  Other than books, I am getting the dishes done on the nights that I am home (been working quite a few evenings).

Wednesday

Well, last night I went to bed with a back that said "don't move that way".  So this morning, I am moving carefully, while searching for the lost MC bills & bank statements for my bookkeeping.  Last years good intentions didn't last long there either.  I see snow out the window, but thankfully it is only -20, hopefully the upstairs pipes won't freeze like they did Monday!  Still have a kitchen cupboard & only the stoneware to scrub & put away.

one thing left

huh.  who woulda thought that when you wash the ceiling, there are fixtures that need bathing too.  All I have left is the blinds!  Maybe I'll fill the bathtub tonite & give them a bubble bath.

coffeetime

It's coffee time, so a pause to refresh.   The walls are scrubbed.  Left to do: figure out how I'm going to clean that blind, now that I no longer have a shower on a hose....vaccuum....wash the ceiling....and polish the mirror.  I'm gettin there!

Ok, I still have that kitchen cupboard & most of the kitchen table.  I have decided to tackle the bathroom this afternoon.  After 5 more swallows of coffee..... Janelle, you gave me a bunch of books....Danielle Steele, do they come back to you or go to the garage sale box? 

Starting slowly

Well, we are home from the cruise & freezing again.  Kai cleared off the kitchen cupboard while we were gone (I may never find everything).  So far, I am working on keeping that clean & doing the dishes every night.  The kitchen table is clearer than before, but not totally empty....I'm working on it.  My first goal - having a kitchen! 

It worked in Julie and Julia

About a month ago, I watched the movie 'Julie and Julia'.  I liked the movie and the idea of Julies blog keeping her accountable for cooking her way through Julia Childs cookbook.  It occurred to me that maybe a blog would hold me accountable for cleaning up this house.  So, I'm going to give it a try.  I will be posting what I accomplish ....when I accomplish it, which will hopefully be daily!  I do have a goal of having the main floor livable before the church anniversary in June, when Big Erik will likely be up for a visit.  Please send me your encouragement & suggestions!  Of course, I won't start anything until I return from the cruise, but, today, I remembered to look up about blogging!  Here's hoping it works!
